Definitely THE SWEETEST VALENTINE!
I once had seen the Laduree macaroon tower, and it bored me 'coz Ferrero Rocher always has their own chocolate balls tower every Christmas which looks kinda similar. But what I loved about this... GIGANTIC-NESS! Somehow it seems more appealing and also, one can catch a glimpse of it from afar and even up close, it looks pretty yummy too!
And when you walk in... Lo and Behold! It's almost like the love of your life going all out to propose to you!
Remember the scene where the super gorgeous boyfriend with the damn amazing sports car always hides balloons in his boot and when you open it is literally the release of 'love into the air' as shown; the staggering hearts on the ceiling! And as you slowly move your eyes downwards, you see mannequins strategically placed on the steps that suggests outfits you could wear on the special day. How thoughtful! Lastly, topped with the all so-lovely heart-shaped boxed full of chocolates... don't we all wish to have one of these as a surprise?
Coming closer to the mega cupcake, we can see right below is a shelf made to look like a dessert stands, very similar to ones you'll see during high tea. These always make me want to check out and try all the beautifully selected cakes on the stand as if I'm in a buffet! A very clever way to direct the viewer to well-placed products camouflaged among the display.
Right beside the dessert stand is this seemingly dissected cupcake with lighted display boxes. Notice they also try to choose pastel colors in the sunglasses box so as to create harmony with the display. Guess they also want to inform the buyer that the pastels are 'in' and also help customers remember where they saw them so as to come back to buy if they are interested.
You can also see that effort has been made in the second box to reflect orange, yellow tones that are harmonious with the whole setting here of pastel primary colors. The stacked garments are a good way of showcasing a variety of products in a small area and the shoes help to add variety and layers into the showcase.
LOVE! I LOVE how they incorperate the initial door ribbons into the mini-push carts or store displays!
And lastly, look what I found! Little pop-cakes at the corner! The sprinklers and ribbons tied to it make it so festive and adorable!
In all, I take my hat off to Scotts Square for coming up with such an amazing display, especially when Valentine's Day is not a common theme that VM-ers of departmental stores and boutiques emphasize in Singapore. To be honest, I rarely step into this shopping mall, because it is quiet and also they sell pretty high-end stuff. But this display really made me look forward to their future displays and want to come here more often!
xoxo,
Yuhan
